Ajit Rangnekar is the Director General of the Research & Innovation Circle of Hyderabad, a unique initiative of the Telangana Government to foster innovation through collaboration between academic institutions, research institutions and industry. Prior to that, he was first the Deputy Dean and then the Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB) for thirteen years. He helped build ISB as a global institution, ranked as high as 12th in the world at one stage. He was a Founder member of t-Hub, the largest incubator in India.
Prior to joining ISB, Ajit spent 21 years in Hong Kong, working for most of that period with Price Waterhouse in many capacities including that as Country Head, first for Price Waterhouse Consulting and then for PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting. He has experience in a wide range of sectors and in countries like China, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. He did his undergraduate studies at IIT, Bombay and received a post graduate degree in management from IIM, Ahmedabad.
