Sankalita is the Chief Operating Officer of Aponjon, an mHealth initiative of Dnet. She is currently focusing on transitioning the funded Aponjon project into a social enterprise. She has experience in visualizing the utilization of modern technology for designing interventions focusing on women, children and youth and has been part of a pioneering initiative to use ICT in the context of cross-border child trafficking. Sankalita is a corporate lawyer by training and has worked in the highly volatile world of mergers and acquisitions in Mumbai before starting on a journey that has led her to live and work in three different countries. While in Cairo, she has worked on the resettlement of refugees and also co-founded the Cairo Refugee Film Festival
