Ali El Benni is the Regional ICT Manager for the Europe Middle East and Central Asia (EMECA) region of Catholic Relief Services.

Overseeing all EMECA Country Programs ICT operations and ICT4D Projects Ali’s responsibilities include providing leadership for the planning, deployment, training, adoption, operation, support, maintenance, and enhancement of Global, Regional, and Country program ICT and ICT4D systems including oversight of Technology used in field projects.

Ali is accountable for ensuring that the regional ICT and ICT4D needs, both in terms of technical solutions and staff capacity, are met and that agency ICT and ICT4D standards and solutions are adopted within the region.

Ali joined Catholic Relief Services in 2004 and calls on his wide professional experience in ICT Service Management, ICT Governance, ICT for Development, Technology for change and Emergency response to help CRS advance its mission, achieve its global strategy and annual business goals.

Ali graduated from the Lebanese University of Beirut in 2001 where he earned a Bachelor degree in Telecommunications and Network Engineering. In 2004, he completed his master studies in Electronics at the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts in Paris.

Ali is Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, and ITIL foundation certified.
