JSI is providing technical assistance to African countries in developing DHIS2-based applications for strengthening their health information systems through the development of Master Facility Registry, Decision Support Systems, and Disease Surveillance/Early Warning systems. To provide a more harmonized and standardized assistance, JSI has taken an innovative approach of setting up a cloud DHIS2 server for developers across the continents (USA and targeted African countries) to collaborate in the design of flexible and standardized applications that are later customized to the country specific contexts. We will present this innovative approach showcasing its strengths and benefits.
