Barry is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and an Attending and Teaching physician in the Pediatric Inpatient and Critical Care Division at the Vermont’s Children’s Hospital at the University of Vermont Medical Center. He is also the Director of the Global Health and Humanitarian Opportunity Program at the University of Vermont. He has 25 years of experience as a Pediatrician in the areas of emergency, critical and acute care medicine. He is also the founder of THINKMD whose mission is to expand access to healthcare to improve health outcomes for all. THINKMD's initial product called MEDSINC, is an integrated mobile clinical assessment, triage and treatment platform to be used by unskilled community health workers. It currently performs 20 unique integrated severity- risk assessments with patient specific triage, treatment and follow up recommendations. In addition, every patient encounter acquires over 1000 anatomized geotagged clinical, epidemiology, demographic, public health data points that is incorporated into a visualization and analytics responsive dashboard called DataSinc that can be used for public health and clinical outcomes analysis, predictive disease modeling; surveillance modeling, UI/UX analysis, impact analysis, and monitoring and evaluation. THINKMD is also using this system for the development of one of the first deep learning frontline clinical integrated assessment tools.
