Al Lutz is responsible for the leadership of World Vision’s IT security functions including information security architecture, user training and awareness, certification and accreditation of solutions (including contributing to the Partnerships’ business continuity planning), and incident response and management. He works closely with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders to develop, implement and manage IT security policies, user awareness and training programs that improve World Vision’s security posture and reduce risk, thus enabling the organization to move forward with its critical business strategies.

Al’s previous experience includes a diverse and comprehensive security and risk management background that spans 25+ years of classified military experience (previous Top Secret SCI clearance in the United States Marine Corps), Big 4 consulting/global security operations experience (PwC and Ernst & Young), and security vendor experience (Cisco and Network Associates). In his previous roles, Al has provided management-level leadership, guidance and value in the planning and delivery of national and international information security strategies, initiatives, solutions and services. He has multiple years of expertise in the development and delivery of security and privacy policies and procedures, the creation of comprehensive multi-year actionable roadmaps from inception through implementation, IT audit, risk and control definitions and assessments leveraging formal industry-leading frameworks and methodologies, and regulatory and privacy compliance gap analyses.
